Falling is the first cause of dependence for senior citizens. Moreover, lying on the ground for an extended period exceeding 7 hours can provoke irreversible lesions which might cause death.
This is why local communities, complementary funding organisations, and medico-social actors have made prevention a priority.
In this approach, ECOMATIC has integrated the “Development Division of Maison en Alsace” in order to develop, in synergy with other companies from the Alsace region, safety devices which can be integrated into the electric baseboards.
Thus, ECOMATIC currently proposes the following options:
- An indirect safety lighting system with an integrated luminosity and movement detector.
